Sheldon Cooper

Dr. Sheldon Lee Cooper, B.S., M.S., M.A., Ph.D., Sc.D. , is a Caltech theoretical physicist who formerly shared an apartment with his colleague and best friend, Leonard Hofstadter. Originally from East Texas, Sheldon started college at the age of 11, receiving his first Ph.D. at the age of 16. Sheldon was involved in numerous experiments as a wunderkind, such as his plan to provide free electricity for his hometown by building a nuclear reactor - a plan stopped by government pen pushers claiming it's illegal to store yellowcake uranium in a garden shed! Proudly geeky, he has no qualms about speaking Klingon, wearing vintage t-shirts sporting superhero logos, or spouting various historical and cultural anecdotes (e.g., his account of the introduction of the fork into Thailand).

While he might claim to be the perfect human specimen, Sheldon does have his faults. Sheldon is characterized by a strict adherence to routine and hygiene; an overly intellectual personality; a tenuous understanding of irony, sarcasm and humor; and a general lack of humility or empathy, the former of which is demonstrated in the fact that he has no problem voicing to his peers his admiration for his superior intellect. These qualities, along with his penchant for pranks, are his character's main source of humor. He is often considered to be the most iconic character of the show.

Sheldon was born on February 26, 1980, in a Walmart in Galveston, Texas to George Cooper Sr. and Mary Cooper, and was officiated at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, although he actually "fell out" of Mary at a Walmart in 1980. He has a twin sister named Missy and an older brother named George Jr., both described by their mother to be "dumb as soup." Sheldon was raised according to his mother's Evangelical Christian beliefs, e.g., learning how to pray and becoming the co-captain of the East Texan Christian Youth Holy Roller Bowling League Championship team, seven-to-twelve year-old division. Meanwhile, he was forced to watch football by his father.

Rachel Green

Rachel Karen Green is a fictional character on the popular U.S. television sitcom Friends (1994–2004). She is played by Jennifer Aniston, who received Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe for her performance. Rachel Karen Green was born to Leonard and Sandra Green, who gave her and her two sisters Jill and Amy, a rather spoiled upbringing. She met Monica Geller for the first time when they were both six years old and they quickly became best friends, remaining exactly that from then until attending the same high school. Rachel also soon met Monica's older brother, Ross, who developed a crush on her which he ultimately decided to keep to himself.

She was also involved with an unpleasant-natured fellow high school student named Chip, who arrived late to take her out to the high school prom. When it appeared that Chip was never going to arrive, Ross, after being encouraged by his parents Jack and Judy, decided to ask her out himself, but missed his chance when Chip arrived before he could ask her. She soon learned how unpleasant, careless and unfaithful at his core Chip was when he ditched her at the prom to have sex with another girl named Amy Welsh.

Rachel herself, however, was a bully to an overweight student named Will Colbert, spurring him and his friend, Ross, who dealt with the fact that she never seemed to notice his feelings for her in a very immature way, to form an "I Hate Rachel Green" Club and spread a rumour about her, saying that she, as Ross put it, "had both male and female reproductive parts" and that, as Will put it, "her parents flipped a coin and decided to raise her as a girl" which everyone in the entire high school (apart from Rachel herself) heard (which may or may not have influenced Chip's unfaithfulness towards her).

Rachel also met Chandler Bing for the first time at Thanksgiving at Ross and Monica's house. Eventually drifting apart from Monica and Ross, Rachel met and got engaged to an orthodontist named Barry Farber, another careless and unpleasant-natured individual who was unfaithful toward her, cheating on her with both her best friend, Mindy and her selfish, shallow, unpleasant, self-absorbed sister Amy (although she didn't learn of this until after she eventually broke it off with him). Later, though, Rachel sleeps with him while he's engaged to Mindy, her former best friend.

Phoebe Buffay

Phoebe Buffay-Hannigan is a fictional character on the popular US television sitcom Friends (1994–2004), played by Lisa Kudrow. She is perhaps best known for her guitar playing in Central Perk and her character's silly wit. Phoebe and her twin sister, Ursula, are the result of a sexual relationship between Phoebe Abbott, Frank Buffay, and Lily Buffay. Phoebe Abbott wasn't ready to be a mother, so Lily and Frank adopted both twins and raised them together. Frank abandoned Lily and the twins, and then later married another woman.

Her step-father went to prison, and Lily committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning. Phoebe was living on her own on the streets of New York City by the age of 14. At one time, she lived in a burnt-out Buick LeSabre. She never attended high school or college, but she ostensibly met behind a dumpster with a small group of three to learn French. She became fluent in French, as evidenced in "The One Where Joey Speaks French." She also speaks some Italian, and has a short conversation in Italian with Joey's grandmother, Nonnie in "The One Where Ross Can't Flirt." Her language skills are treated somewhat inconsistently. She misunderstands when one of Monica's assistants introduces himself as a sous-chef, and she does not appear to understand Rachel's Italian boyfriend, Paolo (but neither can any of the other five friends).

Phoebe occasionally resorted to mugging to survive. At one point, when she was 14, she mugged Ross. (This was when these future friends were still strangers). One of the stolen items was the only existing copy of Ross's comic book, Science Boy. ("The One With The Mugging") Phoebe mentions that she lived in Prague. She also states that she lived with an albino man who washed windows outside Port Authority, as well as a, "guy named Sidney who talked to his hand." She claims that she got hepatitis, when a pimp spat in her mouth. On her sweet sixteen, she was chased around a tire yard by an escaped mental patient who, "in his own words, wanted to 'kill me or whatever." ("The One With The Home Study") Her previous lifestyle and wild stories have shocked her friends. When she tells the story of the time she stabbed a cop, their obviously surprised looks cause her to retort, "What? He stabbed me first!" Phoebe has picked up an impressive talent for boxing at a YMCA, where, according to her, the guys, "weren't being Christian enough." ("The One With The Race Car Bed") Phoebe met and moved in with Monica, which began their friendship. While still living with her, Phoebe married a gay Canadian ice dancer, Duncan, in order to help him obtain a green card. At the time, Phoebe was secretly in love with him. Monica claims that when Duncan left, she saw Phoebe eating a cheeseburger.

Years later, Duncan returns unexpectedly to request a divorce from Phoebe because he has realized that he isn't really gay, and that he is in love with a woman. In 1993, Phoebe, not being able to take Monica's obsessive neatness, started to secretly move out. She moved her furniture piece by piece into her grandmother's apartment. ("The One With The Flashback")

Ross Gellar

Ross Geller, Ph.D., is a fictional character from the NBC sitcom Friends, portrayed by David Schwimmer. Ross is considered by many to be the most intelligent member of the group and is noted for his goofy, pathetic but lovable demeanor. He is a compulsive liar to avoid arguments or situations with conflict, often leading to an arcing storyline within a show. His relationship with Rachel Green was included in TV Guide's list of the best TV couples of all time, as well as Entertainment Weekly's "30 Best 'Will They/Won't They?' TV Couples". Ross is a paleontologist and has a Ph.D. from Columbia University. He is known to refer to himself as "Dr. Ross Geller." An ongoing theme of his narrative arc is his romantic feelings toward Rachel Green, an infatuation that began in high school. A theme of Friends is their on-again, off-again romantic relationship. Born on October 18, 1967, and raised on Long Island, Ross is the elder brother of Monica Geller. Ross and Monica are Jewish and see themselves as at least cultural Jews, with Ross taking a more active role in wanting to teach his son, Ben, about the faith.

A running theme in Ross's narrative is his competition with his younger sister, manifested through wrestling and paranoia. As children, they took part in a football match for the Geller Cup every Thanksgiving. This ended in its sixth year after Monica "accidentally" broke Ross's nose. The siblings came up with a dance in primary school called "The Routine", which later on allowed them to perform in a New Year's Eve TV broadcast. Ross often comes into conflict with his close friend, Phoebe Buffay. His rationality and Phoebe's eccentricity lead to conflict over evolution, gravity, and whether Phoebe's mother was reincarnated as a cat. It is also revealed that Phoebe once mugged Ross (stealing a copy of the comic book Science Boy that Geller had created) when they were teenagers. The two are roommates for a few weeks when a fire forces Phoebe to move into Chandler Bing and Monica's apartment and Phoebe wants to give the newly engaged couple some privacy. In a "flashback" episode, they are alone at the bar and start kissing, but the moment quickly passes when Ross keeps bumping his head. Ross's best friend since college is Chandler. In college, they were in a band called Way/No Way, and Ross blamed Chandler when he was caught smoking marijuana. Chandler becomes Ross's brother-in-law after he marries Monica.

Ross is also close friends with Joey Tribbiani and helps him with movie and stage auditions. He kisses Joey once in order to help him practice a role as a gay man, only to find out that Joey had already done the audition and didn't get the part. Joey and Ross also briefly try to cut Chandler out of their friend group after he ignores them. Toward the end of the series, however, Ross and Joey are seen to become closer friends, often hanging out together after Chandler gets married. Ross has two children. Ross' son, Ben, was conceived while Ross and Carol were still married and born at the end of Season 1. Ross shares a joint custody of Ben with his ex-wife Carol and her wife SusanBen appeared in a total 16  episodes and was played chronologically: as an infant by Michael Gunderson Season 1 to 2, by brothers Charles Thomas Allen and John Christopher Allen from Season 3 to 5, and by Cole Sprouse from Season 6 to 8.

Ross's daughter with Rachel, Emma Geller-Green, was born at the end of Season 8. Rachel's pregnancy was originally revealed in the season finale of Season 7. The conception of Emma, was predominantly, a result of one-night stand, which was later revealed in the Season 8 episode, "The One With The Videotape".Ross also had a pet in the earlier seasons of the show; a White-headed capuchin monkey named "Marcel".

Joey Tribbiani

Joseph Francis "Joey" Tribbiani, Jr. is a fictional character from the NBC sitcoms Friends and its spin-off Joey, portrayed by Matt LeBlanc.[3] An Italian-American struggling actor, he lives in New York City with his roommate and best friend, Chandler Bing, and hangs out in a tight-knit group of friends - Chandler Bing, Ross Geller, Monica Geller-Bing, Rachel Green and Phoebe Buffay.

Joey was presumably born in 1968 as he talks about being 13 in 1981.[4] He comes from an Italian American family of eight children. His father Joseph Tribbiani, Sr. (Robert Costanzo), is a pipefitter and his mother's name is Gloria (Brenda Vaccaro). Joey has seven sisters: Mary Therese (Mimi Lieber) aka Mary Teresa Christina Ricci, Mary Angela (Holly Gagnier), Dina (Marla Sokoloff), Gina (Drea de Matteo), Tina (Lisa Maris), Veronica (Dena Miceli)[6], and Cookie (Alex Meneses). Joey is from Queens, New York. As a child, he was extremely accident prone. He also had an imaginary friend, Maurice, who was a space cowboy.

                                                        "How you Doing?"

Joey is portrayed as promiscuous, and dim-witted, but good-natured, as well as very loyal, caring, and protective of his friends. He's a food-loving womanizer who has had the most luck with dates than any of the other group members. As a struggling actor, he is constantly looking for work. He was ordained as a minister in "The One with the Truth About London", and officiated at both Monica and Chandler and Phoebe and Mike's weddings. It is revealed in The One After "I Do" that Joey has size seven feet, which he is secretive and defensive about. He also has a soft toy penguin named Hugsy (his "bedtime penguin pal"), whom he is very fond of and does not like to share. He also doesn't like sharing food and has difficulty with simple mathematics (evidenced by his using a calculator to add together 500+500). In sports, Joey likes the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees in baseball, Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks in basketball, New York Giants and New York Jets in football, and the Detroit Red Wings and New York Rangers in ice hockey.

Chandler Bing

Chandler Muriel Bing was born April 8, 1968. Chandler is the son of erotic novelist Nora Tyler Bing and cross-dressing, homosexual burlesque star Charles "Helena Handbasket" Bing, who performs his all-male burlesque show, 'Viva Las Gay-gas' in Las Vegas, where he lives. Throughout most of the series, Chandler is an executive specializing in statistical analysis and data reconfiguration, occupying high-grade positions such as Processing Manager and head of office. He frequently complains about his dislike of his job, and quits in Season 9, finding employment as a Junior Copywriter in an advertising agency. Chandler is Ross Geller's best friend throughout and since college. He met Ross's sister Monica Geller and her friend Rachel Green while celebrating Thanksgiving 1987 at the Geller family residence during his first year at college. He later moved to apartment #19 in New York City, across the hall from Monica.

At some point during this time Phoebe Buffay moved in with Monica and Kip became Chandler's roommate. Kip and Monica dated for a while, but later broke up, and could no longer stand to be in the same room as each other. Chandler's next roommate, Joey Tribbiani, completed the group of friends. Chandler lived with Joey until season 6, when he moved in with Monica, whom he had been dating for a year. Chandler is one of the wealthiest friends, because he has been saving money from his job for the last six years. He becomes angry when Monica expects him to spend his savings on her dream wedding, convincing her that they should save the money for their life after the wedding. Because of the Thursday night line-up that led with Friends, Thanksgiving was always an important episode for the series. Chandler's most vivid memory of Thanksgiving is when he was nine years old, when his mother and father told him that they were getting divorced so his father could run off with the house-boy. Because of this, Chandler refuses to celebrate Thanksgiving in the traditional way. This includes a ban on all Thanksgiving food, as he insists that it's not as good after seeing a Thanksgiving dinner in reverse. His Thanksgiving dinner consists of tomato soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, and a family-size bag of Funyuns. Several Thanksgiving episodes include retellings of this back story of Chandler's home life and his hatred of the holiday. Joey goes so far as to say, "It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without Chandler bumming us out!"

I say more dumb things before 9 a.m than most people say all day.

Later on, perhaps thanks to his more positive view of family events due to his relationship with Monica, he accepts Thanksgiving. He still refuses to eat the actual food, even when dining with his friends, eating chicken instead of turkey and other things of that nature. Chandler visits the Geller household for Thanksgiving again in 1988, slightly dismissed by Judy, Ross and Monica's mother, because he does not eat any Thanksgiving food. While attempting to get back at Chandler for calling her fat the previous year, Monica accidentally dropped a knife through Chandler's wicker shoes. Chandler lost most of the pinkie toe on his right foot because it couldn't be replaced, due to the fact that Monica accidentally brought a baby carrot to the hospital instead of the toe. This incident led Ross to call Chandler Sir Limps-a-Lot. Chandler is not aware that it was Monica's revenge-gone-bad that caused him to lose his toe until she tells him during Thanksgiving dinner ("The One With All The Thanksgivings"). Monica reveals that Chandler has a third nipple, which Chandler describes as a nubbin, after she learns that Chandler told Phoebe about her having sex with Fun Bobby on the balcony. The friends are amused at the secret, and they tease Chandler about it.

Finally, Chandler has the nubbin surgically removed after Ginger, a would-be lover, is repulsed by it. Chandler was a bed-wetter as a child. While supporting Rachel during her parents' divorce, he jokingly recommends the, "carefully regimented program of denial ... and, and wetting the bed," which he himself relied on as a child ("The One With The Two Parties"). Throughout the run of the show, Chandler comments how much he dislikes physical exercise. However, he is often seen enjoying Knicks games with Joey and Ross. He also enjoys watching ice hockey, football and baseball. He even enjoys racquetball. It's often alluded that Chandler doesn't really enjoy these things; he just wants to seem like one of the guys. In Season 10, it is revealed that he once tried out for his high school figure-skating team, much to the amusement of Phoebe and Ross. On Thanksgiving, he enters the room saying he wants to watch football. Phoebe responds, "It's okay. Ross and Joey aren't here. You can watch the parade if you want." Chandler demonstrates excellent tennis skills and ping pong skills, the latter he hides from Monica due to her childish competitiveness. Although it became less noticeable during the course of the show, Chandler has the habit of accenting the wrong words in his sentences. This leads to his friends and colleagues imitating his speech pattern.

Monica Gellar

Monica E. Geller is a fictional character, one of the six main characters who appear in the American sitcom Friends potrayed by Courteney Cox.

While she is kind, caring and friendly, Monica is perhaps most notorious for her obsessive cleanliness (classifying places by cleanliness, where 'Monica-clean' is even cleaner than 'Health-Department-clean'). She is also known to talk abnormally loudly (such as in The One With The Apothecary Table) and for her bossiness and unnatural organizational skills (such as The One On The Last Night). Phoebe and Rachel also call her high-maintenance. Aside from being a neat-freak, Monica can also be bossy and somewhat competitive, hating to lose in competitions.

"Neat Freak" Monica is comically obsessive about the state of her apartment. She loves cleaning, describing a dry-cleaning establishment as her Disneyland. This personality trait becomes progressively exaggerated as the series progresses.

You don't tell me what to do. I tell you what to do.

Monica also demonstrates athletic prowess, which, coupled with her competitive streak, makes her formidable, especially in foosball. During the group's trip to Barbados, Monica became obsessed with beating Phoebe's boyfriend, Mike, at table tennis, and the two became engaged in a marathon match, lasting hours. Sometimes, however, Monica becomes too rough. While attempting to give Chandler a sensuous massage, she hurts him to the point of his crying out. Later during the episode she becomes very upset that she "loses" at giving massages until Chandler says, "You give the worlds best worst massages," which immensely cheers her up. Moreover, she held firm in an arm wrestle against Chandler. Also, in their youth, Monica broke Ross's nose when a game of touch football turned ugly in an attempt to win the "Geller Cup." The cup was thrown into a nearby lake. What Ross didn't know was that Monica jumped into the lake to retrieve it. In the series finale, while trying to rescue the birds Joey bought, she managed to destroy the foosball table, without using tools for most of the process.

Sandor Clegane- The Hound

Sandor Clegane is a member of House Clegane. He is the younger brother of the current head, Ser Gregor Clegane. He is nicknamed the Hound for his fierce nature and unquestioning obedience to his masters and for the three dogs featured in his family's arms. In the television adaptation Game of Thrones he is played by Rory McCann. The Hound is considered one of the most dangerous fighters in Westeros. As a child, Sandor received gruesome facial burns when Gregor shoved his face into a brazier. He came to loathe fire, his brother, and the hypocrisy of knighthood in general.

Sandor is the bodyguard and servant of Prince Joffrey Baratheon, who regularly calls him "Dog". Queen Cersei Lannister suggests that he looks to the Hound as a surrogate father. En route from Winterfell to King's Landing, Sandor earns the enmity of Arya Stark by acting on Lannister orders to kill her friend Mycah, the son of a butcher, who is believed to have harmed Joffrey. Sandor rides well during the first day of the Hand's tourney, unhorsing Lord Renly Baratheon. After that night's feast, Joffrey has Sandor escort Sansa Stark back to the Red Keep. Drunk, despite the final jousts the next day, Sandor becomes enamored with Sansa. Angry that she cannot look him in the eye due to his disfigurement, he mocks her for her polished manners, calling her a "little bird" who chirps on command.

Sandor defeats Ser Jaime Lannister to advance to the finals.Sandor saves Ser Loras Tyrell from the wrath of his brother, Gregor Clegane, during their joust. He fights heatedly with his brother, but kneels when King Robert I Baratheon commands them to stop. Loras allows Sandor to be the champion without a final joust, and the Hound is cheered by Sansa and the smallfolk. Sandor speaks in a rasping voice. He has a temper, but is dutiful. When Lord Eddard Stark attempts to take Cersei and her illegitimate children into custody with the help of the gold cloaks—unbeknownst to the fact that Commander Janos Slynt is already under the employ of the treacherous Petyr Baelish—Sandor participates in the widespread slaughter of Eddard's remaining household guard alongside his erstwhile allies, personally killing Cayn.

The Hound also takes Jeyne Poole into custody, placing her in Sansa's room, after breaking down her door with a warhammer. After Ser Barristan Selmy is dismissed from the Kingsguard, Sandor is named as his replacement despite refusing to become a knight. In this capacity he is often assigned to watch over Sansa, treating her with relative kindness and trying to spare her from Joffrey's sadism. Sandor is a huge and heavily-muscled man. The left side of his face is gaunt, with sharp cheekbones and a heavy brow, while the right side is a burned ruin with a stump for an ear.Slick black flesh is pocked with craters and deep cracks that ooze red and wet.

The scars extend down to his throat. There is a twisted mass of scar around his right eye, which is still good. Sandor's nose is large and hooked, and his long hair is dark and thin and brushed so that it covers the right since no hair grows there. Sandor's eyes are grey and bone shows on his jaw. Sandor left to join the Lannister household the same day Gregor came into his inheritance. He claims to have killed a man when he was twelve years old, possibly during Robert's Rebellion, as he was part of Tywin Lannister’s host during the Sack of King's Landing.Sandor has never taken a knight's vows.

Catelyn Stark

Lady Catelyn Stark née Catelyn Tully,is the wife of Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North. Together they have five children: Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran, and Rickon. Catelyn was born into House Tully of Riverrun, the liege lords of the riverlands. She is the eldest daughter of Lord Hoster Tullyand Lady Minisa Whent, and has two younger siblings: Lys and Edmure. She is a major POV character in the books and is portrayed by Michelle Fairley in the television adaptation Game of Thrones. Catelyn is beautiful, with fair skin, long auburn hair and blue eyes. She has long fingersand high cheekbones. Catelyn resembles her own mother, Minisa Whent. Her own sons Robb, Bran and Rickon, and daughter Sansa take after Catelyn in their coloring.

Catelyn is proud, strong, kind, and generous. She is seen as honorable and upright by acquaintances, holding duty over desire as a governing principle of behavior. Catelyn also has a strong grasp of politics and possesses considerable insight into what makes Westeros run. Nevertheless, Catelyn is also a fiercely protective woman and more often than not follows her heart rather than her head, especially when it comes to her family, whom she loves deeply. She strongly follows the words of House Tully, "Family, Duty, Honor. However, she regards the bastard Jon Snow as an outsider to her family, and has never forgiven Eddard Stark for bringing him into the Stark household. She holds to the Faith of the Seven. Catelyn is the eldest daughter of Lord Hoster Tully, the Lord of Riverrun, head of House Tully and Lord Paramount of the Trident, and his wife, Lady Minisa Whent. She was annointed with the seven oils and named in the sept of Riverrun.

Catelyn had two older brothers, who both died in infancy, causing her father to regard her as his heir until the birth of Catelyn's younger brother, Edmure. Catelyn also has a sister, Lysa, who is two years younger than her. Catelyn was raised at Riverrun. She was close with her sister Lysa, and would play with her two younger siblings, as well as with her father's young ward, Petyr Baelish. Just as her younger siblings and Petyr were wont to do, Catelyn would go to her uncle, Ser Brynden Tully, with her tears and tales, whenever Lord Hoster was too busy, and Lady Minisa was too ill. When Catelyn's mother died in childbirth, along with her son, Lord Hoster told his daugther that she had to be the Lady of Riverrun in her mother's stead.

“The singers make much of kings who valiantly die in battle, but your life is worth more than a sword. To me at least, who gave it to you.”

Catelyn does not have many memories of her mother, though she still remembers her warm smile and soft hands. Her relationship with her father was a close one, and according to Catelyn, Lord Hoster cherished her best of all his children. Whenever Hoster would ride off to court or a battle, he would tell Catelyn to watch for him from the battlements of Riverrun, which she did. And when his eyes tired, Hoster would have Catelyn read to him in his solar. Catelyn and Lysa played together as girls, and even had a secret language. Once, they made mud pies and served them to Petyr, who ate them and as a consequence was sick for a week. Catelyn and Lysa also practised kissing with Petyr in the godswood of Riverrun, where Petyr attempted to stick his tongue in their mouths - an attempt which Catelyn halted, but Lysa both allowed and enjoyed. Catelyn often accompanied her father on his travels, and had visited the inn at the crossroads on multiple occasions. Once, Catelyn, Lysa and Petyr accompanied Hoster to Seagard.

During the journey to the seat of House Mallister, they stopped at Oldstones, where Catelyn had played at being Jenny of Oldstones, while Petyr had pretended to be her Prince of Dragonflies. On their way back from Seagard to Riverrun, Catelyn and Lysa got lost in the mist, and were eventually found by Petyr Baelish.

Jon Snow

Jon Snow is a fictional character in the A song of Ice and fire series of fantasy novels by American author George R.R. Martin, and its television adaptation Game of Thrones. He is a prominent point of view character in the novels, and has been called one of the author's "finest creations" and most popular characters by the song of Ice and fire.Jon is a main character in the TV series, and his story line in the 2015 season 5 finale generated a strong reaction among viewers. Speculation about the character's parentage has also been a popular topic of discussion among fans of both the books and the TV series.

Jon is introduced in 1996's A Game of thrones as the illegitimate son of Ned Stark, the honorable lord of Winterfell, an ancient fortress in the North of the fictional kingdom of Westeros. Knowing his prospects are limited by his status, Jon joins the Night's watch, who guard the far northern borders from the wildlings who live beyond The wall. As the rest of the Starks face grave adversity, Jon finds himself honor bound to remain with the Watch.

"Some woman, no doubt. Most of them are." He favored Jon with a rueful grin. "Remember this, boy. All dwarfs may be bastards, yet not all bastards need be dwarfs."

He joins a scouting party investigating the growing threat from beyond the Wall, and manages to infiltrate the wildlings. Jon learns of their plans to invade Westeros in A strom of Swords, and begins to fall in love with the fierce wildling woman Ygritte. He betrays them—and Ygritte—before they can attack, but the Night Watch's victory comes at a heavy price for Jon. Now the Lord Commander of the Watch, he appears briefly in 2005's A feast for Crows. Jon returns as a prominent character in A dance with Dragon(2011), working to negotiate an alliance between the Night's Watch and the wildlings. The growing animosity he has attracted from among the Watch finally catches up with him, and he is forced to face the dire consequences.

In A Game of Thrones, Jon Snow is introduced as the 14-year-old bastard son of Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell, and half-brother to Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran and Rickon. Jon is described as having strong Stark features with a lean build, long face, dark brown hair and grey eyes. Jon has the surname "Snow" (customarily used for illegitimate children in the North) and is resented by Ned's wife Carelyn, who views him as a constant reminder of Ned's infidelity.Jon is the same age as Robb and enjoys a warm relationship with his siblings, particularly the tomboy Arya (who resembles Jon and like him does not feel like she fits in). Ned treats Jon as much like his other children as propriety and his honor will allow. Still, as somewhat of an outsider, Jon has learned to be independent and to fend for himself when necessary.Jon idolizes his father, but is wounded by Ned's refusal to tell him about his mother. At the beginning of the story, Jon adopts the albino direwolf that he names Ghost. He later finds that at times he can "inhabit" the wolf and share its experiences.

Eddard Stark

Eddard Stark also known as Ned Stark known as Lord of Winterfell, Warden of the North and later Hand of the King to King Robert I Baratheon.. This character is potrayed by Sean Bean. He is the father of Robb, Sansa , Bran, Arya  and Rickon  and a bastard son Jon Snow, who is later revealed to be his nephew.

Eddard was a trusted, close friend and counselor of King Robert Baratheon. He supported Robert's play for the throne by acting as a general in several major battles. Eddard's sister Lyanna, who was betrothed to Robert, was purportedly kidnapped by Prince Rhaegar Targaryan, igniting a war. Brandon protested the kidnapping, but his attempt to bring Rhaegar to justice failed. Lord Rickard was summoned to court in King's Landing by Aerys, and both Brandon and Rickard were brutally executed by the Mad King.

“Why is it always the innocents who suffer most, when you high lords play your game of thrones?”

Their deaths left Eddard to inherit Rickard's responsibilities, serving King Robert instead. Brandon had been betrothed to Catelyn, and Eddard also inherited his brother's bride.Lyanna died in Eddard's arms during the conflict. Despite his happy family life, Eddard still felt the losses of his family quite keenly, often visiting his sister's tomb to light a candle for her as his daughter, Sansa, remembered. Despite barely knowing each other, Eddard and Catelyn formed a strong and loving marriage.

Cersei Lannister

Cersei Lannister can be categorised as the most awesome antagonist, playing in the series "Game of Thrones". The character is played by an English actress and film producer, Lena Headey. Cersei is acting Queen of the Seven Kingdom currently on regiment after the demise of her son,Tommen and daughter-in-law, Margery and widow of  Late  King Robert Baratheon and is involved in the relationship with her twin brother. She is the most badass character in the show. Cersei's true motive is that she sees her blood(children) as an extension of herself for she isn't capable of adoring someone who isn't herself.

"Love is a poison. A sweet poison, yes, but it will kill you all the same."
She's always wanted them to carry her legacy and build an empire of Lannisters. This actually proves how she is intrigued in building a bloodline empire which pretty much sums up why her one true love is her twin brother, Jaime.

From the beginning of the show, she has given a perfect reasons to hate her, be it throwing a boy from the top of the tower because he saw Cersei and Jamie together or presurring the king Robert into ordering the execution of the direwolf, Lady. Plotting the death of his husband, Robert Baratheon and arresting Eddard Starks as a traitor, she seized the power.

Tyrion Lannister

Known for having mind boggling effect on the mind of the audience, Tyrion Lannister is an exhilarating character with a great sense of humour. The character is played by actor Peter Dinklage in the series 'Game of Thrones'. Tyrion is the member of House Lannister. He is the third and youngest child of Lord Tywin Lannister and the Late Joanna Lannister. His older siblings are Cersei Lannister and Jaime Lannister.

Tyrion is a dwarf who often is mokingly called 'The Imp' and was underestimated his whole life. His mother died giving birth to him for which his father and sister,Cersei, never forgave him. At the beginning of the series he was always surrounded with prostitutes in some brothel. He also fell in love with a prosistute named 'Shae', but that will come later. From being the hand of the King in the absence of his father and then Master of Coin in the small council to being accused for the murder of his nephew the king- Joffery Baratheon and being choosen as the hand of the queen, the character has developed as well as learnt a lot.
"Everything is better with some wine in the belly."
Tyrion is a character who has always been judged on the basis of his size and strength and his family name. Unlike his other family member he had a heart of gold. But he was accused many times for the sin he did not commit. He was locked in the prison for many days for being accused of the murderous attempt of Brandon Stark, Son of Eddard Stark and Catelyn Stark. He was kind of rescued in trial by combat by Bronn, Tyrion promised to make him rich as 'Lannister always pays his debt.' He ruled the kingdom under the king of seven kingdom -Joffery Baratheon'. He served justice for sometime until his father return and he was given the post Master of Coin in the small  council. He was married to the older daughter of the Stark Family. He was accompanied by his servant Podrick Payne. People still don't know what he did with the prostitute, Tyrion gifted him.

"A mind needs books like a sword needs a whetone."
Tyrion has been a brave character as he demanded 'Trial by Combat' for the things he did not do. Losing trial by combat he was rescued by his older brother Jaime Lannister  and Lord Varys, a member of Small Council. He killed his  father with a crossbow, because Tywin knowing that Tyrion was innocent he sentenced him to be guilty and Shae for betraying him with his father. His journey has taken a twist which is not very surprising in the series- Game of thrones. He then was sailed across the sea to Daenerys Targaryean, wife of  Later Khal Drogo and daughter of the mad king.
He helped her making various decisions and thereafter was appointed as  'Hand of the queen'.

Tyrion has developed a lot in these years and grown more brainy because he drinks and know things.

Arya Stark- The Daughter of Winterfell

Arya Stark-the daughter of winterfell, one of the major character in the Game of Thrones series is played by British actress Maisie Williams. Arya is the third child and younger daughter of Eddard and Catelyn Stark. She has four sibling: an older brother Robb, two younger brothers Brandon and Rickon, and an older sister, Sansa. She grew up with Jon Snow, whom She assumed was her half-brother although he is her cousin.

Arya is an unusual girl, she acts much more like some inborn-warrior, preferring to engage in mock swordplay and exploring the woods than learning needlework and other lady-like pursuits. She rejects the idea that she must one day put on a dress and potentially marry a man she doesn't love for political reasons of money and pFrom the first episode she is drawn to traditionally male oriented past time and talent shows for them. She easily outperformed her brother Brandon in archery practices. Being somewhat different from other family members, she was considered as 'Black sheep' in her family. She had a special relationship with yet other 'black sheep', the bastard Jon Snow, who gave her a little sword which she named 'needle'. She had a direwolf which she called Nymeria. She once had to chase off her direwolf as a dangerous situation had occurred and she didn't want Nymeria to be killed. A bruise is a lesson and each lesson makes us better, Arya only grew ever since in both physical and mental perspectives.

"A bruise Is a lesson… and each lesson makes us better." -Arya Stark
From being a passionate child in the initial season to having drastic circumstances and experiences throughout the other seasons until the fifth season that has recently been out, Arya Stark has been much braver and courageous. She admired her father the most. Seeing her father's head beheaded, she learned to grow even stronger. She has great teachers and great enemies too. Syrio forel, a bravoosi Swordsman taught her Water Dance, a type of swordsmanship. Jaqen H'ghar, also known as the faceless man trained her about death and survival through cruelty and hardship. But time and circumstances were actually her best teacher. She had been both fortunate and unfortunate, be it escaping from death or seeing her mother and brother murdered just before they were to be united.

Arya Stark might be the character that has suffered many harsh situations and also came over all of them in through the series. Having made friends and having killed a number of people, Arya has turned some enemies into friends as the Hound and also recognized how some enemies could so effortlessly disguise as a beloved friend. Arya Stark from every projections she has been through, now in almost the ending seasons, has come up as a much stronger potrait who is completely fearless. She has in divisions understood not just games of life, death and survival but also politics and warship.

She might have very much in store for her fans in the upcoming seasons. Arya Stark however has drastically developed and the Starks might be changing the 'game of thrones' that has been prolonging so long for now. Having had the fear of how winter's coming too, we audience are now to watch how things roll up and how not just Arya but other characters too get along and into.
